1. Jerash and its historical background. Focuses on people's first encounter and their emotional reactions.
2. How Jordanians construct their identities in relation to tourism activities in their places.
3. The tourist gaze. What are the most noticeable similarities and differences between Jordan and the tourists' home country?
4. Jordan in tourist's eyes. What attracts them the most? Why do they think Jordan (or a particular place in Jordan) is interesting? How did the tourist come to the decision to visit Jordan?
5. A different perspective on religious tour to Amman, Madaba, Nebo, Umm Rassass.
6. A culinary travel. Can the cuisines tell the tourists about its historic, socio-cultural background?
7. Dead Sea: how tourists use traveling as a means of escapism.
8. Gigantic architecture of Petra: capturing people's reactions and opinions.
9. Aqaba: a different side of Jordan (hasthe touristic experiences give insights to the fellow travelers/tourists?)
10. End of the journey. What are the insights that the tourists acquire during their visit to Jordan?

Objectives of the Blog

I set up the blog with these objectives in mind:

1. Explore how touristic activities in Jordan met tourists' expectations, despite Middle East's political condition
2. Explore how the encounters with new places and culture in Jordan influences tourists' opinion
3. To use the blog as a means of personal record and comparison with the other travel experiences (emphasizing that theoretical concepts from the course are also taken into account).
